ORGANIC DEODORANT FOR ACTIVE YOU BY "FINE

Most of us live an active life: we work all day, go to the gym or meet friends, take care of home and many other activities. Personally, I can’t imagine anything worse than constantly wondering if I smell funny and sometimes all I need to feel good and confidence is an effective deodorant. So recently I’ve been testing an aluminium-free, paraben-free, 100% vegan deodorant from FINE, in the hope I can find an effective protection. Here’s an honest look at how I got on…

FINE is a German based natural brand with selected collection of vegan odour products. There are a huge range of senses to choose: from fresh minty to spicy cedar bergamot or pure creamy. All their products come in organic cotton bags or recycled paper packaning, what is always a nice self-treatment or as a gift.

I was lucky to try Vetiver Geranium and Cedar Bergamot deodorants. Here’s an honest look at how I got on…

Super smooth, probably the easiest to apply out of all the deodorant pastes we’ve tried and highly effective, provides all day protection and is suitable for all skin types. I've never tried a deodorant balm or paste, so it took me a little getting used to but I assure you it’s absolutely worth the switch from the usual go-to spray-ons! Scoop a pea-sized amount of the product onto your fingers (depending on how hot or cold the temperature is the product can either be firm or soft) and apply it to your underarms – sounds strange but it’s actually surprisingly therapeutic as a daily ritual! Apart from the soft and easy application, this natural deodorant’s claims are spot on – it effectively deodorizes (i.e. prevents body odor) for a full day and still kept me fairly fresh even after couple hours in gym. These vegan deodorants are game changers when it comes to feeling and smelling good in the most healthy way possible. It therefore goes without saying that the entire range is free from parabens or aluminium salt, gluten, synthetics and other harmful chemicals. I am always pleased that deodorant is more like skincare and not just to protect skin, but also protects from dryness and irritation. Goodies from nature, like Cocos Nucifera Oil, Cacao Seed Butter, are blended together to moisture and nourish by keeping the skin healthy. These deodorants feel very comfortable all day long.

Fine organic deodorants are expensive relative to any common spray-on or roll-on style deodorants but will probably last a fair bit longer than your average 75 ml deodorant. It’s always tricky to price these products competitively in a market that values savings over quality / natural and organic ingredients and ethical principles.
